On April 9, 2024, the Artget Gallery in Belgrade hosted a pop-up exhibition showcasing NFT artworks by artists Daniel Glid and Marija Nikolic. Titled Art and NFT, this exhibition was part of the program Web3 — A New Business Model in the World of Art, an initiative by ICT Hub under the Serbia Innovates project, supported by USAID. The exhibition aimed to demystify NFTs in the context of contemporary art and gallery presentation.
More than 40 artists and members of the Web3 community gathered for the opening, where program coordinator Ivana Ehrensvärd introduced the audience to the exhibition and its mission. The event provided an opportunity for networking and a deeper exploration of how digital art, NFTs, and blockchain technology are transforming the creative landscape.
After the exhibition, a panel discussion titled Art and NFTs? was held, moderated by curator Vladimir Bjelicic. The discussion included insights from Daniel Glid and Marija Nikolic, who shared their experiences in navigating the NFT space, the creative potentials of blockchain technology, and the unique opportunities it offers to artists. This conversation aimed to engage the audience further with the evolving role of digital art and the intersection of traditional and decentralized art platforms.
